For Which Flight Disruptions Can You Claim Compensation?

Flight Delay

How Flight Compensation Is Calculated by Distance

The legal compensation amount depends on your flight distance, not your ticket price. SHY-YOLCU and EC Regulation 261/2004 set three different compensation bands.

You can claim compensation for disruptions on flights with the airlines below. EU-based airlines or airlines flying to the EU fall under EC 261/2004, and Turkish airlines additionally fall under SHY-YOLCU.
